New specification for Low Sulphur Diesel (a.k.a Ultra Low Sulphur Diesel) The federal regulations stipulate that all on-road diesel fuel must meet a maximum of 22 ppm of Sulphur starting September 1, 2006 and 15 parts per million (ppm) of Sulphur after October 15, 2006. This regulation only applies to the Sulphur content and all other properties remain unchanged, in particular, operability (cloud point), viscosity, and lubricity. Click here for bulletin
